Norman W. Alpert
Mr. Alpert was one of the founding partners of Vestar Capital in 1988, and is a member of Vestar’s Investment Committee and senior management. At Vestar, Mr. Alpert has been responsible for originating, negotiating and financing private equity investments in multiple industries and providing ongoing strategic direction to various portfolio companies. Mr. Alpert is currently a Director of HealthGrades, MediMedia, St. John Knits and Press Ganey Associates.
Mr. Alpert began his career as a Commercial Banker at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company, and was a member of the Special Finance Division before leaving to become a member of the Management Buyout Group at The First Boston Corporation.
Mr. Alpert is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Corporation of Brown University and The Brown Hillel Foundation. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Brown University Sports Foundation, the National Rowing Foundation, American Friends of Shalva and White Plains Hospital, where he serves on the finance and the quality performance improvement sub-committees.
Mr. Alpert earned an A.B. from Brown University.
